Youth Activities

Christ Church has an approved Child Protection Policy and a Children’s Advocate.


We offer a wide range of activities for children and young people at Christ Church both as part of the family of the Church and in separate groups sponsored by the Church.
10.45am Family Church Service where all ages are welcome.
A crèche is provided for the very young but parents may keep their children in Church if they wish.
Our Junior Church  meet in their own rooms after sharing in the first part of the service in the Church. Contact Anne Durnford 01473 727790
Cafe Churcha discussion group for young people aged 10 and over is held on the fist Sunday in the month, starting at 10.45am.
About four times a year the 10.45 am service takes the form of a Youth Parade Service, including young people from the uniformed organisations. These services are very interactive and usually feaure music from the Christ Church music group.
17th Ipswich (Turret Green) Scout Group meet during term time. 
Beavers 6 – 8 years from 5.45-7.15pm  
Cubs 8 – 11 years  from 6.30 to 8pm
Scouts 11 – 14 years from  7.30-9pm 
The Scout Group is sponsored by Christ Church and its name of Turret Green is a reminder that it was formed more than 75 years ago at Turret Green Baptist Church, which is now part of the fellowship at Christ Church. Boys and girls are welcome to apply to join.

Coffee Talk for young people aged 14-25 is held on the second Monday in the month at the Cult Cafe on the Waterfront from 5pm. Co-ordinators are Jo Robertson and Netty Waters
Tots + meet from 9.30 – 11.30 am during term time.
Tots + provide a meeting point for parents and small children (0 years – school age) where the children can enjoy meeting others and engage in play and various activities while the parents socialise and enjoy coffee provided by the helpers.
